The Club is committed to cultivating and encouraging an interest by young men and women (ages 13 – 19) in fishing, hunting, and shooting. For instance, members' kids can participate in the Mass Wildlife Young Adult Pheasant Hunt and Mass Wildlife Youth Turkey Hunt. They may also enjoy the Scholastic Clay Target Program at local shooting clubs or on the Club’s trap teams with a parent.
Some of the training they’ll receive is in the safe handling of firearms (pistol, rifle, shotgun and muzzleloader), boating safety, archery, fresh water fishing and in developing sport shooting skills. The education programs include adult-supervised classroom training, shooting activities, and participation in various hunting venues as well as the other sponsored youth events of the Club. Furthermore, the Club is a loyal sponsor of the State of Massachusetts Youth Conservation Camp and annually sends sons and daughters of members to the camp.
