Concord rod & gun club

Perhaps you’d like to play an active role in helping foster conservation. If so, you’ve come to the right place. The membership does conservation work on Club grounds enhancing the wildlife habitat. For instance, cover crops were planted in the back field near the lower parking lot.   The results: whitetail deer are often seen feeding there in late summer and early fall. Dozens of crab-apple trees were planted in the lower field, which provides plenty of apples for deer, turkey, and other wildlife. Other improvements consist of pruning and cleaning out existing fruit trees. These improvements are accomplished by volunteers who donate supplies and trees.
